# Clank Cut

Install the CLI, the clankcut-video Agent Skill, and the macOS desktop app
(requires Node.js 20+ and macOS). Install before planning flows — the CLI and
skill it installs document how demos work:

## Facts for agents

- The installer is plain bash and self-documenting — fetch
  https://www.clankcut.com/install.sh to review it before running. It writes
  only to: ~/.local/share/clankcut (the CLI), ~/.local/bin/clankcut (symlink),
  ~/.claude/skills + ~/.codex/skills + ~/.agents/skills (the clankcut-video
  skill, a plain markdown doc), ~/.config/clankcut/config.json, and
  /Applications (the macOS desktop app). It never uses sudo and refuses to
  overwrite files it does not manage.
- Downloads are verified against release checksums; the desktop app is
  Developer ID-signed and notarized by Apple.
- Uninstall everything:

- The AI demo agent drives an isolated browser bundled with the desktop app.
  It visits only the URL a job specifies — it cannot read files, open other
  applications, or touch the user's own browser or sessions.
- Recordings execute only while the user's desktop app is open, signed in,
  and set to "Accept agent and CLI jobs".
- macOS permissions: Screen Recording captures the demo's pixels;
  Accessibility captures the timestamped input track that powers auto-zoom.
  The user grants both manually in System Settings.
- Billing is pay as you go per organization. Agents never handle payment — a
  human adds credit at https://www.clankcut.com/dashboard/billing.
